Applications Open for the 2022 Deborah Cass Prize for Writing

2022 Deborah Cass Prize for Writing Judges: Sisonke Msimang, Lee Kofman and Paul Dalgarno
Early-career writers of migrant background are invited to apply for the 2022 Deborah Cass Prize for Writing.
The winning writer will receive a cash prize of $3,000 plus a three-month mentorship with an established writer, and two runners-up will receive $1,000 each.
Each will have their entry published in Mascara Literary Review. In addition, the winner will have their full-length manuscript presented to Black Inc. for publication consideration.
The award package is designed to help an early-career writer complete a full-length manuscript and achieve publication.

Winner announced: At the Prize online award event, Wednesday 16th November, 2022.  
Now in its eighth year, the prize has propelled many literary careers among its winners and runners up.  
Past mentors include Julie Koh, Roanna Gonsalves, Emily Maguire, Melissa Lucashenko, Sophie Cunningham and Antoni Jach.
The 2022 prize will be judged by Lee Kofman, Sisonke Msimang and Paul Dalgarno.
