And you’ll want to complete this one! Left to Dye, along with A God Among Men, are the two prerequisite quests you need to complete before you can acquire the legendary Heavy Blade known as the Polyphemos Cyclops Bludgeon. Stick with Nerds and Scoundrels and keep reading the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Left to Dye Walkthrough to finish this mission in no time.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Left to Dye Walkthrough

When we left off with our friend the self-described deity Empedokles, you had just rescued the nearly naked pretender from certain death in the mission A God Among Men. Overjoyed, Empedokles offered you the chance to come with him to the Hall of the Gods to meet his family, A.K.A. the Greek Gods. It’s rude to turn down an invitation, so you agreed to come. But there’s a problem! Empedokles needs a special disc to access to Hall of the Gods, and the disc was stolen. If you are willing to help Empedokles once more by killing the thief and returning the disc he will reward you by taking you to meet his fellow Gods. So where is this thief?

Ah, look how she strides! The confidence! If I didn’t know better, I’d say there were two gods on Kythera!

Killing the Thief in the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Left to Dye Side Mission

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Left to Dye
As the old saying goes, it’s like taking stolen property from a hardened criminal.

There is no set place that you’ll find the thief and his entourage. He has been reported to have popped up walking the roads all over Kythera; you will just need to start looking until you get the notification that you are close. On the bright side, the vast majority of the time you will find him only a few steps away from you near the Murex Dying Facility (hence Left to Dye. get it?). In fact, most players report that the thief is close enough to your starting location that you’ll get the pop-up to start scouting with Ikaros as soon as the quest starts.

Once you locate the thief you’ll need to kill him and confirm the kill to get the disc back. He is followed by one or two large body guards that aren’t total pushovers. The thief himself is fairly weak, so you can just blitz him and run if you don’t want to get dragged into an outnumbered sword fight. What’s more, from time to time you may find attacking the thief brings random NPCs from the dying facility to attack you as well. While this fight is easily winnable, you can just nab the disc and go if you are in a hurry.

Return the Disc to Empedokles

Return to the hill Empedokles calls home and give him back his stolen disc. He is so excited almost compares you to himself! Finally, Empedokles is ready to make good on his promise to introduce you to the gods. Your friend then makes an impromptu speech promising that Athena, Ares, and the other gods await your presence. You are given a choice on whether or not you believe him, but either way you will still get invited to his family reunion. From here, you will set sail for the Gulf of Korinth and hopefully acquire theย Polyphemos Cyclops Bludgeon. What could go wrong?
