The Assassin’s Creed series has come a long way. After years toiling as a stealthy assassin, the game has really broken out with the different combat styles available. At the end of the day though, it’s pretty hard to beat sneaking up on someone and knifing them in the back. That’s where the dagger comes in. As in, the back is literally where the dagger comes in. But there are a variety of daggers in this game, and they range from excellent assassination tools to capable open combat weapons. Top 10 Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Best Dagger
When considering our favorite dagger, we take into account the base DPS as well as how difficult they are to obtain. But ultimately, we are concerned with the bonuses these knives get. Some have a great bonus that trades off with a useless one. Others are decent at everything but excellent at nothing. And at the top of our list are daggers that truly stand out.
10. Champion’s Dagger
Required Level: 19
Class: Common
+7% Assassin Damage
+9% Damage with Daggers
The first entry on our list, the Champion’s Dagger becomes available at level 19. While it doesn’t offer anything particularly special, its combination of bonuses to Assassin Damage and dagger damage scales well with an assassin build.
9. Dagger of Messara
Required Level: 43
Class: Common
+13% Assassin Damage
+5% All Damage
A straightforward dagger, the Dagger of Messara is a high-damage weapon when you consider the bonuses it carries. While it is a solid dagger, you typically discover it late enough in the game that better options present itself. That said, the combination of bonuses to Assassin Damage and All Damage work well together. You can find the Dagger of Messara by completing the side quest It’s Complicated. 8. Penitent’s Blade
Required Level: 40
Class: Common
+11% Hunter Damage
+16% adrenaline per CRIT
The Penitent’s Blade is a deviation from the daggers we’ve seen thus far. Instead of a bonus to Assassin’s Damage or dagger damage, you get a big boost to Hunter damage. You also get the interesting boost to adrenaline. This is a good dagger for fighting on the run with a hunter build. However, as a level 40 item you’ll probably have better options by the time you get this thing. To get the Penitent’s Blade, you will need to complete the side question A God Among Men. 7. Theatrical Blade
Required Level: 16
Class: Common
+7% Hunter Damage
+6% Damage with Daggers
The theatrical blade is a sharp looking dagger that becomes available when you hit level 16. Like the Penitent’s Blade, the Theatrical Blade is bonused towards hunter damage as opposed to assassin damage. The Theatrical Blade also carries a nice bonus to damage with daggers, making the DPS pretty strong for this knife.
6. Nymph’s Blade
Required Level: 13
Class: Common
+7% Assassin Damage
+8% Poison Damage
A solid early game assassin’s dagger; you can use the Nymph’s Blade with a variety of poison-based builds. The Poisoner’s Dagger has a fairly standard bonus to Assassin Damage, but it is one of the earliest weapons in the game that can offer a poison damage bonus as well.
5.The Greek Hello
Required Level: None
Class: Legendary
+7% Assassin Damage
+5% CRIT Damage
+15% All Damage but -15% Health
The Greek Hello is the first legendary dagger available for purchase in the Helix store. It is an interesting weapon; unlike most weapons, it has traits that help but also hurt your character. The combination of bonuses for Assassin Damage, CRIT Damage, and All Damage make for a high potential for killing with a single blow. However, on the downside, you also lose 15% of your health when you equip this weapon. As such, it is very situational but can be useful in assassinations.
4. Skinning Knife
Required Level: 13
Class: Rare
+8% Assassin Damage
+8% Poison Damage
+2% All Damage
The Skinning Knife is our favorite of the Rare daggers. While not as well known as the Legendary daggers we’ll discuss shortly, it is almost as powerful. An excellent blade for an assassin with a poison build, the Skinning Knife is bonused towards Assassin Damage and Poison Damage. It also has a small buff to all damage to really round it out. It has the most potential DPS of a rare dagger. You can find the Skinning Dagger in Alkaios Tomb on Atoll Point of Paros Island.
3. Atlantean Blade
Required Level: 50
Class: Legendary
+15% Hunter Damage
+25% CRIT Damage
+30% Armor Penetration
Likely the last dagger you will encounter in the game, the Atlantean Blade is an interesting item. The bonus to Hunter Damage might not jump out at you for weapon that is mostly associated with assassin builds, but this blade is designed for another purpose. The most interesting part of the weapon is the +30% Armor Penetration bonus, which makes it a powerful tool against heavily armored enemies.
2. Arachnes Stingers
Required Level: 43
Class: Legendary
+15% Assassin Damage
+20% Poison Damage
Weapon Damage Becomes Poison Damage
Our second favorite dagger is the only other legendary offering that can be found during gameplay. Arachne’s Stingers is tied for the most base damage for a dagger in the game. All the bonuses work together nicely, giving you a bonus to assassin damage and poison damage. The kickerย is the dagger gets a special bonus that turns all weapon damage int poison damage. That stacks nicely with the buff to poison damage. All told, this is a great knife. It is essentially a beefed up version of the Skinning Knife with more damage and permanent poison.

1. Dagger of Kronus
Required Level: 33
Class: Legendary
+15% Warrior Damage
+15% Damage with Daggers
+40% Damage when Attacking from Behind
We’ve made it to number 1! In our opinion, the Assassins Creed Odyssey best dagger is the Dagger of Kronos. Available in the mid-game, you can obtain the Dagger of Kronos by taking out Nyx the Shadow, a member of the Eyes of Kosmos cult. The dagger is decent in combat, but the combination of bonus dagger damage and the huge buff to damage when attacking from behind sets this dagger apart.
