To start the quest, head to Heraklion at Octopus Bay in Messara. Watch for a priestess with a quest indicator. When you approach her, she will ask you for help in dealing with the storms and rough seas brought on by Poseidon’s anger. Only a ritual will appease Poseidon and bring an end to the devastating storms. Unfortunately, the ceremonial ax is missing and the ritual can’t be performed without it. By now, you can probably guess what the priestess wants you to do.

However, as you speak with the priestess you learn that the ritual is the idea of the local fishmonger, Swordfish. The priestess is careful in how she speaks about the man, implying that he is dangerous. If you agree to fetch the ax, the priestess will point you to a cave east of town where the bandits that stole the ax are holed up.
