In the 7th mission in Ace Combat 7, you and the other inmates are tasked with clearing a path through the rugged Yinshi Valley in order to give the squadron you’re supporting a way home. Ace Combat 7 Mission 7
In order to get the squadron home safely, you will have to blaze a trail for them. This includes clearing hostile radar facilities and anti-air gun nests along the way. What’s more, the weather is rough, so be prepared for that.
In addition to the risks clouds post with visibility and ice, you will be flying into clouds that contain thunderstorms. These thunderstorms can fry your instruments temporarily if hit directly. If you have more question about cloud mechanics, see our guide here.
To begin, use your map to follow the trail or radar outposts and AA guns. The terain in this mission is the most dangerous part. Be prepared to rely on your instruments, as the clouds will obscure many of the large rock pillars and arches.
Bandits Inbound
When you clear out the last of the ground structures, you will get a short cutscene showing a small drone fleet inbound. If that’s not enough, the storm is also gaining in power. You’ll have to watch the storms carefully during your dogfight with the drones, as lighting is frequent. Keep the drones busy and allow the recon squad to escape.
Dogfighting with the King
More hostiles are inbound, but they’re not drones this time. One of them, nicknamed King according to their comms, makes quick work of one of your mates. It alls on you to take him out. King is flying in the mysterious prototypeย X Plane. This will be your toughest duel to date. No matter how well you fly, the King gets away. Something tells me you’ll meet again.
