With the Arsenal Bird dead, it’s time to go on the attack. That’s why in Mission 13, you’ll be tasked to take out Erusia’s 5 ballistic missile sites. That’s easier said than done; not only are there decoy silos to deal with, but you’ll also have to win a dogfight before you can take down the missiles. Ace Combat 7 Mission 13 Walkthrough
Mission 13 is different than most of the other offerings so far. It’s a timed mission, but you will wind up having even less time to complete it than the countdown clock indicates. That’s because after you destroy enough silos, the remaining missiles will launch. You will need to shoot down the missiles in order to complete the mission, but more on that in a minute.
The other issue is that you’ll need to take out a hostile ace before you destroy the missiles mid-air. If your plane isn’t built for high speed, the missiles will get away before you can catch them. That’s why our recommended loadout is to maximize speed in every way possible. Beyond that, equip long-range missiles so that you have less distance to close when tracking down the ballistic missiles. Some of the planes that are fast enough for this mission include:
- F-22A
- Mig-31b Foxbat (Fastest)
- F-35
Include four acceleration / speed mods and fill the rest with missile mods.
Silo Hunting
To take down the missile silos, you’ll be using a new bunker-busting bomb. It’s different than most other weapons mechanics. You’ll need to paint your target with a laser for a few seconds before you can fire. This can be tricky if you aren’t careful with your approach angles.
There are five real silos in total, but several more fake ones. The problem is, there’s no way to tell the difference between the two. Just fly in circles and take out every silo you can find. Destroying all five real silos will take you to the next cutscene, where you see ballistic missiles launched from a sixth, hidden silo.
The Hidden Silos
Suprise, there were more silos. And now you have an ace to kill and three ballistic missiles to shoot down. As soon as the cut scene ends, turn around and burn to the ace. Kill him as fast as you can, as the first missile will be out of range quickly. From there, you will have a little more time to take out the last two. Kill the last missile and the mission is complete.
