Metro Exodus All Note Locations

One of the interesting side projects you can take on while playing Metro: Exodus is collecting all of the available notes. Some of them can be hard to find, which is why we’ve put together this handy Metro Exodus All Note Locations Guide. Metro Exodus All Note Locations Guide

Notes are spread out through each chapter; here is our guide to finding them all.

Moscow

There are a total of ten notes found in the first chapter

When traveling through the subway tunnels, look for a half-torn notebook on a table to your right immediately after killing the first enemy. This will occur before the encounter with two more enemies ahead.
After you awake in the hospital, check out the table near the wall on your right. Grab the patient file.
As you descend down the stairs with Anna, enter the apartment on the floor below. Take the dusty diary on the bedside table.
Before traveling down the escalator, look for a bookstore on your left. There will be a corpse with a note stuck to it.
After you exit the building, you will enter a bus. There is a note on one of the seats.
After Artyom is shot, jump into the ditch and crawl under the wooden boards. There will be a blocked passage to your right with a corpse. The corpse will have a crumpled note.
You will find a note in the control room on the console after you meet Anna.
After you encounter hostiles in the courtyard, you will wind up in a hangar. There is a memo on the table to your left.
During the episode with the cruiser, once inside the car, turn through the hole in the wall on the left. There are two enemies in this car, while the official letter lies near the hole on the table.
When the shooting starts, there will be a crumpled note from the box shortly before you enter the head car.

Winter

There is only one note in the second chapter, which is a survey report. You can find the note under the steps. Wait with Anna until she moves away, then head down the steps and take the item out of the box.

The Volga

There are 9 diaries here:

Navigate over the bridge in the opposite direction from where you begin then turn right. Descend while watching for corpses. You will find a moldy log lying on a mattress.

While following Krest to the port, head around the right side of the building and take the stairs leading down. Down there stairs on some shelves will be a waterlogged note.

In the warehouse where bandits are holding hostages, you will find a suitcase near the fireplace. Inside it is a folded letter.

Near the tower where you found a teddy bear earlier is a barn. There is a letter next to the metal detector inside.

In a nearby building you will find a wooden structure on top. You can reach it by moving along the beams on the building’s roof. At the top is a faded note.

On the map, you will see a black mark to the northwest of the carriage that bandits are holed up in. There you will find a building that is flooded. Inside is a log book.

In the building where you discover the enlarged filter there is a dusty notebook.

Head east from the railroad car that Duke was hiding in. You will find a building with a lot of radiation; inside is a thick envelope.

There is another remote island here. It’s very small and fairly close to the terminal with the railcar. You will need a boat to reach it. On the island is a bandit’s note.

Spring

There is only one note in this chapter. While on the train, you will find Natya’s letter in the room near where Artyom it.

Yamantau

There are six notes to collect here:

Once you deal with the cannibals and take the elevator, Atryom will split off. One he leaves, there will be a diary page on a table to your left before you exit the door.

There is a switchboard on the wall as you move through the freezers. Activate it and crawl into the bottom hole to find a diary on a barrel.

Climb up the pipe which Artyom uses, and you will find another page on a box inside a new room.

After the fight with the machine gun guy, you will end up in a corridor. There is a diary in room 2.

After meeting Anna, there is a dairy on a barrel to the left before you enter the elevator.

Once you enter the elevator with Miller and company, there is a diary on the left.

The Caspian

There are a total of 9 notes in the Caspian:

Take the path to the lighthouse once you get a car. Along the way you will find a broken barge. Inside the barge and up the stairs you will find the foreman’s diary on a table.

Also in the barge, keep moving up and get the leader’s letter in the farthest away room.

While trying to help Gulnara, you will travel through a cave to get to the lighthouse. Near what looks like a stone bridge, you will find a parent’s letter to their son.

While inspecting the bunker, you’ll find a room with lots of tables, cobwebs, and spiders. To reach the note you’ll need to open the door with a nearby switchboard.

Also in the bunker, there is a broken ventilation shaft near the room with the spiders. On the other side of the shaft is a room; on the table is an image analysis.

In the map archive, look for a room that appears to be a command post. On a table is a file titled “last orders.”

Inside what appears to be a disassembled ship, look for a product list on table.

Before you enter the canyon, look for a yellow truck. Nearby is a table with Baron’s letter.

Inside the canyon, climb the rope ladder to get the suicide note.

Summer

There is one note; it is on the table in the car where you can find the auto.

The Taiga

Once you have control over the character, exit the courtyard and remove the arrow with the note from the gates.
At the Solnechny children’s camp, go to the house on the right side and find Larissa’s letter on the desk.
There’s a brick building in the nearby. Climb the stairs to the top to find a solemn oath.
After you have found the previous note, move along the river (on the left side) to find another building for small kids. Child’s scribbles can be found in the room on the right.
Having got to the other side and having seen the bear for the first time, go forward and find a house on the tree on the left. Go there and take a dusty diary that lies near the fireplace.
You can descend from the tree house using the rope that leads to the fireplace near the rock. You will face an enemy there and find an alchemist’s diary in the nearby.
Return to the road and follow the marker (after the tree house) to find a house near the river on the right. One of the pioneers will be there. The lost diary is inside the house.
Use the same road and go forward, then turn to the left. To continue moving along the storyline, you will need to climb the stones and the rope ladder. On the left from them, there’s a small cave with a dusty notebook.
When you return your backpack, you will find yourself near the pioneer camp. Do not go there. Instead, find a lonely hut on the left side. Another pioneer will be near, but he will do nothing to you. Enter the hut and take a neat letter from the stove.
Near the central entrance to the pioneer camp, there’s a building in the inner part. If you enter the camp through the main entrance, it is located on the left. Inside, you can find a casual letter.
When you leave the pioneer camp, you will find yourself in a gorge. Do not go forward. Instead, find a passage to the cave on the right. Moving through this cave, you will find a battered letter.
There’s a crumpled note at the end of the same cave. This route leads directly to the bandit camp.
From the bandit camp, go down the road towards the river, turn to the right and find a small pier. There, you will find a corpse under which lies a dirty diary.
In the pirate camp, you will need to raise the gates using a lever to sail further. In the same building with the lever (it is on the second floor), go down to the first floor to get a folded note (it lies on the table).
When you start the generator in the hangar having driven away spiders and having opened the door above, go through this door and find a bloody letter on the ground.
When you meet Alyosha, descend to the village and find an unfinished letter in one of the houses on the right side (where a front door is open).

Autumn

There is only Metro Exodus note location here. Katya’s note is on a table near Tokarev’s workbench.

Dead City

In the dead city of Novosibirsk, there are 8 more notes:

In the flooded tunnel, find the room full of bodies. There is a note on a table by the door.

Miller will suggest looking around a room. Inside is a report on a table to your left.

There is an order on the board in Kirill’s shelter.

After you split from Miller, enter the top car in the metro. Look for a notebook on a seat to your right.

When you are on the boat, enter an open door to your left. There is a diary through a hole in a wall in the far room.

After you find Anna, head up the escalator and enter the room on your left. When you hear Kirill speaking with Miller, look for a dark note nearby.

Having jumped into the tunnel (after a vision with tanks), do not rush to follow the monster to the right and instead turn to the left. You will come to a dead end but find a dusty notebook.
Having jumped into the next building after you have seen a vision with Anna (Artyom will put a gas mask on her), turn to the right and jump down to the stairs. Having opened the door, you will find a cargo list on the front table.
