This quest can be found in the Petrified Forest near Wintersun and involves the party encountering a mad half-elf scientist on top of a hill. Naturally, you’ll want to figure out who this person is, but you won’t be able to by simply talking to her. There are a few ways to progress in this quest, and it can be tricky, but we’ll explain the best way here.
You’ll first want to clear out the Ivory Sanctum as doing this will trigger an encounter with a delegate from the Order of the Flaming Lance. They will approach you in your throne room and request that you find their missing leader. The missing person in question is Miammir the Scholar and is the very same half-elf that was found on top of the hill. Since you know where she is, tell the leader of the Order of the Flaming Lance about it and then follow them to her location.
Once you have returned to Miammir’s location, you’ll encounter someone named Siabrae. There are many ways to handle this situation and the specifics will come down to what you would like to decide. The most likely path will result in a fight against Siabrae, a fight that shouldn’t be too challenging. Once that is finished you’ll need to decide the fate of Miammir the Scholar. You can either send her away to be healed of her sickness or you can decide to give her a much crueller fate.
