The end result of recent fighting was a battle in space over communications satellites. The end result is that both sides are now hampered in their communications. But there’s one source of information that hasn’t been disrupted: the intel from the high-level Erusian spy. Now it’s time to extract him by ground transport, and it’s your job to escort him. Ace Combat 7 Mission 16 Walkthrough
Before the mission starts, you will learn that the IFF is down due to the issue with the satellites. That means you won’t be able to use it to ID aircraft in the sky. Instead, you’ll need to use the infrared camera on the jet in order to ID hostiles. This means you won’t be able to identify friend from foe unless you are in close proximity to them for a certain about of time. You just need to be nearby; that means you don’t have to fly directly at them to get an ID.
You’ll begin in the Anchorhead Bay area. There are plenty of unidentified planes and structures; start shooting the hostiles right away. Be sure to ID everything before you fire; Erusia is in the midst of a civil war and not everyone will be hostile. Once the area is clear, the convoy will begin to move. Follow closely and watch for ambushes.
Highway 208
The enemy general, Labarthe, is pretty fragile in this mission. It’s important that you stick with him as you travel down the highway as there are a number hostiles nearby. Before long, the convoy will come to a blockade in the highway. Labarthe will have to detour onto city streets, and the Erusian interest in his vehicle will increase. Listen carefully to radio chatter. When the convoy driver shouts out about hostiles or ambushes, clear the path as quickly as possible. Once the caravan reaches the chopper, Labarthe is inย the clear.

That doesn’t mean it’s time to wrap up, though. As you’re flying home you will cross paths with a civilian plane and a military escort. Command decides not to shoot them down, but a conservative Erusian faction has other ideas. Shoot them down. But that’s not the end either, as the civilian escorts turn on you. It turns out they are drones acting autonomously. They will also call in waves of reinforcement drones. Finish off the drones and the mission is done. All’s well that ends well, right? Not exactly.
