Victini’s presence in the pokedex of the Crown Tundra in Pokémon Sword & Shield is suspicious. Our small, victory-oriented lad doesn’t seem to be anywhere at all! We’ve been waiting for a while for this Pokémon to return to the scene, and now it’s at least within the code of the game! You can get it through Pokémon Home, so that’s good, right? How to Get Victini Crown Tundra Guide
Unfortunately, right now, Pokémon Home is the only confirmed way to get Victini in Pokémon Sw&Sh. Dataminers have found the wee lad in the game, but if anybody has found the way to get him, they haven’t shown up online yet. We also haven’t found a way to get Victini to show itself.
However, considering the dataminers seem to show that Victini is guaranteed to be a Shiny in the game, there’s probably something special coming up. Perhaps they are holding Victini hostage until some arbitrary milestone, like an anniversary or a selling goal. Or maybe we’re just waiting for a holiday that makes sense for Victini to reappear. Maybe New Years? We have no idea, and we’re at the mercy of Game freak (or someone farming the Galarian Star Tournament for way too long) to see.
Until then, your only option to get Victini in your party is Pokémon Home and some older games. That’s… unfortunate. Victini tended to be an event Pokémon in the past too, so he wasn’t easy to grab back then either. That should be a good sign that Victini will be coming to Pokémon Sw&Sh soon, in an event. But, that’s all just speculation until we get more time with the DLC, or Game Freak reveals the newest events.
